John Manera and his wife Laura have been married for over twenty seven years and after the tragic loss of two children and three miscarriages, have been blessed with two surviving children, William and Anna.
John was raised Catholic and after experiencing a re-conversion in 1995, fell in love with Jesus Christ and the Catholic faith. As a certified Marian Catechist, John has been co-instructing RCIA for over ten years. With a strong desire to share his faith he has developed many seminars focused on integrating pro-life Christian values, family survival and spiritual leadership in today's humanistic world. These subjects have been the focus of various parish speaking engagements. John has also appeared as speaker at several Marian Center Conferences.
In 2006 John organized and spoke at the "Men Against the Wind" men's conference put on by the Catholic Men's Ministry of the Archdiocese of Detroit. The theme of these talks focused on guiding fathers to be the spiritual influence in the family that God had intended them to be. Topics also included raising and mentoring children of all ages.
Most recently John organized and spoke at a conference that focused on Marriage. The title of the event was Marriage:The Mystery of Loving Communion Revealed; Is God invited into your marriage? Couples of all ages that were married or about to be married attended this evening event that explored the spiritual and sacramental nature of the marital relationship.
